Terms & Conditions

These terms describe the general conditions for using the HD Stone & Tiles website and making an enquiry about our tiling, natural stone, waterproofing and related services.

Last updated: 19 October 2026

Please note: These are general website terms, not a substitute for a project-specific written quote or contract. Any signed agreement, accepted quote or separately agreed project terms will govern the relevant job where applicable.

1. About these terms

In these terms, “HD Stone & Tiles”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to HD Stone & Tiles Pty Ltd. By using this website, you agree to these terms to the extent permitted by law. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

2. Website information

We aim to keep the website accurate and up to date, but service descriptions, photographs, examples and other content are provided for general information and may change. Images may show example finishes or completed work and are not a guarantee that every project or material will look identical.

3. Enquiries and quotes

A website enquiry is a request for information, not an accepted booking or a binding quote. Any price, scope, timeframe, material selection, preparation requirement, installation detail or other project condition should be confirmed in a written quote or agreement. A quote may be subject to site inspection, measurements, access, substrate condition, product availability and confirmation of the requested work.

Unless expressly stated in the written quote, an estimate is not a fixed price and does not include work, materials or conditions that were not reasonably identified when the quote was prepared. Any changes to the agreed scope or unforeseen site conditions should be discussed and agreed before additional work proceeds, where practicable.

4. Product availability and natural variations

Natural stone, tiles, grout, finishes and other building materials can vary in colour, shade, veining, texture, pattern, dimensions and surface appearance between samples, batches and individual pieces. Screen images may also display colours differently from the physical product. We encourage customers to inspect physical samples and confirm selections before ordering or installation. Any material-specific tolerances or care requirements should be confirmed with the supplier or manufacturer.

5. Customer responsibilities

Customers should provide accurate project information, confirm selections and measurements where required, ensure reasonable site access, and tell us about relevant site conditions or requirements before work begins. Responsibilities for permits, moving furniture, access, waste removal, supply of materials, preparation, plumbing, electrical work, waterproofing certification and other trades should be confirmed in the project quote or written agreement rather than assumed.

6. Scheduling and site conditions

Any proposed start date or completion timeframe is subject to confirmation and may be affected by weather, site readiness, access, delays by suppliers or other trades, variations, and events outside reasonable control. If a delay or change affects a project, we will communicate with the customer and discuss practical next steps.

7. Payments, changes and cancellations

Deposits, progress payments, final payment dates, variations, cancellations and any applicable charges must be set out in the accepted quote or separate written agreement. Please check those terms before accepting a quote. Nothing in these website terms creates a deposit, cancellation fee or payment deadline that has not otherwise been agreed or is not permitted by law.

8. Workmanship, care and maintenance

Care and maintenance depend on the particular stone, tile, grout, sealant and installation conditions. Follow the relevant supplier or manufacturer instructions and any care guidance provided for your project. Any specific warranty or workmanship commitment must be stated in writing. This section does not exclude or reduce any rights or guarantees that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law. If a term conflicts with a non-excludable legal right, that right continues to apply.

10. Website use and intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, website text, branding, graphics and photographs are owned by or used with permission by HD Stone & Tiles or the relevant rights holder. You may view the website for personal or business enquiry purposes. You must not copy, republish or commercially exploit website material without permission, except where permitted by law.

You must not misuse the website, attempt to interfere with its operation, introduce malicious code or use it in a way that is unlawful or infringes another person’s rights.

11. Third-party services and links

The website may link to or use third-party services, including Google Maps, Instagram, WhatsApp, web fonts and content-delivery services. Those services are operated by third parties and are subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control their availability or operation.

12. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for loss caused by reliance on general website information that has not been confirmed for a particular project. This does not exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable rights under the Australian Consumer Law, or override a project-specific written agreement.

13. Governing law

These website terms are governed by the laws applicable in Victoria, Australia, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply in your location.
